The Adelaide Generals will kick off their 2017-18 Australian Junior Ice Hockey League season with a Tryout Camp starting this Friday 22nd September starting at 6:00pm.

Last season the Generals won the AJIHL Championship under the guidance of head coach Neil Boyle, winning the League Championship Tournament here in Adelaide defeating the Perth Sharks in the championship game.

Despite coming off the back of a national championship and having many of last years team returning, new head coach Corey Smith will keep an open mind when he hits the ice this Friday with his group of hopefuls.

“I’m looking for players who can show me their heart and desire to play for the defending champions and represent our city with pride.“

This season all clubs have voted in favour of allowing two overage (21 years – by 31/12/1996) , while the remainder of the team cannot be more than 20 years (by 31/12/1997).

The Generals will open their 2017-18 AJIHL Season at home with three games against the Melbourne Glaciers, Saturday and Sunday, 21-22 October.
