FALCONS BACK IN THE MIX WITH 7 - 5 WIN OVER TIGERS
IHSA PREMIER LEAGUE - ROUND 2 - GAME 2
Falcons 7 Tigers 5
Jordan Geyer had a three goal night, while Corey Smith and Dylan Pope added two goals each to lead the Falcons to an impressive 7 - 5 victory over the Tigers in Premier League play in Round 2.
Smith opened the scoring early for the Falcons with one of his signature slap shots, finding a small gap in the upper left hand corner on Tigers goalie Rusty Brewer and that appeared to set the tempo for the night.
Jamie Holland had two goals for the Tigers, with Gil Krmac, Patrick Jeffs, and Ryan Foll shooting one each.

“After a tough year last year we have decided to go to a mixture of youth and experienced players this year as a rebuilding year and already we can see and feel the improvements in our Premier League Team", Smith said after the win.
“We have lots of talented youthful players and with the correct mixture we believe we are going to be more competitive this season”.
The win moved the Falcons back into the mix in the Premier League, into a second place tie on the ladder with the Blackhawks, each with 1 - 1 records.
