Senior C - Player of the Month

April 2017 - Mark George - Jokers

In four games Jokers forward Mark George has 4 goals and an assist for a 1.67 Points Per game Average.

A newcomer on the Jokers this season, George previously played with the Flyers and Lightning in the South Australian Summer C Grade League.

In a Jokers victory back in mid-April, he was the top scorer firing three goals and adding an assist.

While he has indicated that it’s pleasing that he has had some individual success early into the season, he credits much of the success to Jokers Head Coach Sami Mantere, and also to his teammates.

“We're still relatively new as teammates so it helps  that Sami has experimented with some different line combinations in the early games of the schedule.

"After losing in the opening game, we’re all pleased to be gelling as a team.”

Mark likes visits to the museum, collecting caterpillars and butterflies and cycling in the country on a nice Spring day!
