Senior A League - Round 13 - Game 1 Blackhawks 4 - Tigers 1 Goalkeeper Charlie Wragg (pictured) turned in one of the best goalkeeping performances of the IHSA year, stopping all but one shot to lead the Adelaide Blackhawks to a big 4 - 1 win over the Adelaide Tigers in Senior A League action Saturday night at Thebarton. The match was initially a Round 13 match in the fixture, but had been rescheduled due to other events at the Ice Arena back in early July. The victory moves the Hawks to within one point of the first place Tigers, while having played one less game. Senior C League - Round 19 - Game 2 Jokers 3 - Blackhawks 1 Two goals in the third period powered the Adelaide Jokers to a 3 - 1 win over the Adelaide Blackhawks in Round 19 Senior C League play last Sunday at Thebarton. Both teams battled through a scoreless first period, even though the Jokers held a slight edge in shots. In the second period Mark George opened the scoring for the Jokers, when he converted a nice setup play from Luke Burford to give the Jokers a one goal lead heading into the final period. Senior C League - Round 19 - Game 1 Tigers 5 - Falcons 3 Will Dobud (pictured) and team mate Bradley Christie both scored two goals each to lead the Adelaide Tigers to a 5 - 3 Senior C League victory against the Adelaide Falcons last Sunday at Thebarton. The victory improved the Tigers record to 9 - 5 - 0 - 0 for 27 points, nine points back of the first place Redwings, but only one point in front of the charging Adelaide Jokers, who are sitting in third place with 26 points. Senior A League - Round 20 - Game 1 Redwings 10 - Blackhawks 3 The Adelaide Redwings got a quick jump off the blocks and then coasted to a 10 - 3 win over the Adelaide Blackhawks in Round 20 Senior A League action last Sunday at Thebarton. The Wings’ leading scorer Reggie Mattchoss opened the scoring less than a minute into the game and from there the Big Red line up never looked back.
