IHSA Senior C LEAGUE - Round 4 Game 2 Tigers 6 - Falcons 1 The Adelaide Tigers’ “Vladi Day Care Line” served up a winning formula to down the Falcons 6 - 1 in Senior C League action last week at the Ice Arena. The exciting line consisting of Samara Mihal, Nathan Price and Will Dobud all contributed to the six goals in last Sundays victory, improving the Tigers record to 3 - 1 and tied for second place with the Jokers on the five team C League ladder. Dobud, an American from Washington D.C. lead the attack with three goals and two assists, with Price, Ben Lowes, and Bradley Christie adding single markers. Mihal setup the goals to Price and Christie in the second period to record two assists

JOKERS EARLY GOALS ENOUGH TO EDGE THE BLACKHAWKS

IHSA Senior C - Round 4 Game 1 Jokers 2 - Blackhawks 1 Jokers goalie Jessica Forrest turned aside 24 shots to lead the Jokers to a 2 - 1 win over the Blackhawks in Senior C League action played last Sunday at the Ice Arena. Jesse Main and Gail Painter each scored single goals in the opening period and from there solid defence and good goalkeeping enabled the Jokers to hold on for the win. The victory improved the Jokers C League record to 2 - 2 and moved them into a tie for second place with the Tigers on the five team ladder, three points ahead of the Hawks. IHSA Senior A LEAGUE - Round 5 Game 1 Redwings 5 - Blackhawks 1 Chad McMurran fired a pair of goals and then assisted on another to lead the Adelaide Redwings to a 5 - 1 win over the Blackhawks in Senior A League action on Sunday at The Ice Arena. Trevor Walsh, Mark Godfrey, and Reggie Mattchoss rounded out the Wings scoring, who led 2 - 0 and 4 - 1 after the opening two periods. Dylan Collier scored on a Chad Wilson rebound of the crossbar, for the Hawks only goal late in the second period. Both teams bolstered their line-ups with players bought down from the Premier League, which has been idle the past couple of weeks. IHSA Senior A LEAGUE - Round 5 Game 1 Falcons 8 - Jokers 0 The Adelaide Falcons won back to back games in Senior A League action last weekend, first a 3 - 2 shoot-out win over the Tigers on Saturday, and then topping it off with an 8 - 0 whitewash of the Jokers on Sunday. The shutout over the Jokers was a total team effort with Pete Phillips the only multiple goal scorer with two tallies, with Darren Stockburger, James Hearne, Reece Boundy, Rob Bloomfield, Beth Kavanagh, and Kelly Harris all shotting single scores. IHSA Senior A LEAGUE - Round 2 Game 1 Falcons 3 - Tigers 2 Reece Boundy rifled a bullet shot into the upper right hand corner of the goal to give the Adelaide Falcons an exciting 3 - 2 shootout win over the Tigers in Senior A League action Saturday night at Thebarton. The victory was a big one for the Falcons who by beating the first place Tigers improved their record to 1-2-1 and moved them into a second place tie with the Jokers, both with five points, and just five points back of top spot.
